Illume Sessions: Artificial Light Basics

I have always been a firm believer in using the best tool for the job. Natural light tells an impeccable story, but sometimes, it just isn't enough. Over the years, mastering artificial light has afforded me all the tools I need to tell a full visual story, no matter the circumstance.

This class offers you the rare chance to practice working with the often misunderstood medium of artificial light with me to help you every step of the way, offering feedback, support and guidance. We will be talking through all the events of an entire of a wedding reception. From the first dance to the grand exit, we will go through these discussing both bounce flash and off camera flash. I will walk through what I do, as well as giving you the opportunity to practice, troubleshoot these events. This class offers a compact and solid foundation from which to work effectively with artificial light outside of weddings as well. With this knowledge base you will be able total those techniques and establish your own signature and style.

Class will take place on February 26th, from 5:30-9:30PM in my studio in Sandy, Utah. Class size is limited to four students.
